Common questions
I didn't receive my license key.
Check your spam folder first — the email comes from Polar. If it's not there, email us and we'll resend it manually.
Pace isn't launching after install.
Make sure you've moved Pace to your Applications folder before opening it. macOS may block apps run directly from a DMG.
The FCPXML won't import into Final Cut Pro.
Check that you're on Final Cut Pro 10.6 or later. Drag the .fcpxml file directly onto the Final Cut Pro icon in your Dock, or use File → Import → XML.
Pace isn't detecting silence correctly.
Try adjusting the sensitivity slider. For quieter recordings, lower the threshold. For noisy environments, raise it slightly so background hum doesn't get flagged as speech.
Can I use Pace on multiple Macs?
Yes. Your license is tied to your email address, not a single machine. Enter the same license key on any Mac you own.
